I'm retired from Xerox Corp after 32 years of service. I love to fish. Favorite fishing spot is Lake Orano, in Ontario, Canada, one of Viking Outpost's fly in lakes. I enjoy riding my bike and taking photos along the way. I try to play in a few community bands when I'm not fishing or in Florida for the winter. I have nothing profound to say or learn on this blog. I'm just using this as a journal to look back at some memories.

Well, another day waiting for Lakepoint to open. Weather was nice but not warm ewnough yet. About 52. Went to Discount Tires and had the tires rotated on the Dakota. They are like new, and I want to keep them that way. Reciever on dish network went out AGAIN and I only have TV on TV2. What a pin in the ass. New reciever on the way. this is the 3rd one. I'm going to look for a new service tomorrow. Have to watch dancing with the stars with only one TV in the house. I think I'll go practice my horn instead.

Today I had breakfast with Butch. On the way to the restruant Butch called and said our friend Larry had a heart attack last Saturday in Wisconsin. He had stopped breathing for 8 minutes and was in intensie care at St. Lukes in Milwaukee. Reaaly a shock. He lost all kinds of weight and thought he was taking care of himself. Skinny or not, blocked arteries will get you every time.
Today is sunny and warm, but the news from Larry's wife makes it a not so good day.

Tonight I went to Paulie's house to say goodbye to Mike and Mark. I'm kind of bumbed out. I know the twins are excited about their new adventure, but I know it's killing my little brother. Paul is not subtle about his fellings about them leaving, and I can feel the pain he is feeling. I know there is not much you can do.....they are 24 years old....but it still bothers me. I gave them both my card with my address and email address. I hope they write me and let me know how they are doing. We have some time before we really have to worry about them. But that time will come, I'm sure. They have skills that the Army needs, and I'm sure they will use them.
Tonight we set the clocks ahead an hour. Really dumb, but we still do it.
God, I am bumbed out.

Well, I'm not sure how I am going to use this, but I'm thinking I'll just write down what I do every day and see what happens. I'm looking to stay busy and keep the mind sharp since I am retired and do not work. Maybe this will keep me sane until it's fishing season.
